Check the new SSC Acceptance Guidelines up and posted Here.

Hopefully we will see more servers applying for SSC, and more zones getting onto SSC hosts.

How do you apply for SSC Access (as a zone host)?

Write an email to someone on the council, and they'll forward it on for voting.

Active members are preferred for timely handling, of course.

Just PM me on SSF like L.C. did... simple.

Just need Admins, Zones Hosted, Server Info, IP (for firewall), and any other helpful information.

Email addresses are gold to spammers and ad agencies http://www.ssforum.n...tyle_emoticons/default/blum.gif

Personally I fear the spammers over the adders.

Personally, I don't want anyone I don't know contacting me about things that are not my business (their host for example.)

Then post your email addresses as images if you're scared of spammers. Or just use GMail. There should be as many ways as possible of contacting network staff...

reCAPTCHA, anyone? WordPress has this plugin where you have to click on a piece of text, which triggers a popup or AJAX-based expansion revealing a reCAPTCHA that must be confirmed, and upon confirmation the e-mail address is revealed.

Or make a short form on the website, that is sent to the council... That way you don't have to display the emails anywhere.

Spammers I mean are madcow subspace players.

Anyway.

The council is in the process of developing a main way to send a message to the council rather than going through a council member.

Sounds like a Form you put on your website with a drop down menu about what the issue is, so it gets directed to the correct person. Hard to implement, no...

It shouldn't take long to make. The hardest part would be finding email addresses for everyone.

It is free, and we use it at http://support.hlrse.net/. <_< Best helpdesk software I have used. Only thing it lacks is billing integration, live chat, and paging service.
